Are you ready for the first edition of Splurge vs Steal Home Decor? I am often asked where I get decorative elements and furniture at my home. I think a lot of the piece I have I've collected from local antique shops and spent A LOT of time searching for the perfect pieces that fit my style and are comfortable in our home. I've done the dirty work for you and have found pieces that look or are identical to mine at a fraction of the cost. Amazon to the rescue. Enjoy the suggestions and get to shopping!
Splurge vs Steal Home Decor 1 - Decorative Ladder
paid $80 and I love it but you can get a 5' ladder for $59 on Amazon
It comes in 5 different colors and three different sizes starting at $39
Here is a picture of mine and I hang blankets on it. It would also be perfect in a bathroom to hang towels! If you are short on storage, add it to a guest bedroom for them to hang their clothes on for the night!
Splurge vs Steal Home Decor 2 - Decorative Beads
Farmhouse chic has never been so affordable. I saw this and my jaw dropped. Spent $20 on my beads and now I am going to stock up on these gorgeous pieces.
Hang them on a decorative hook
Wrap around a vase
Hang on a doorknob
Tie around books
You can't go wrong with these wooden bead gems and they have a TASSEL.... IT'S $3. A MUST!!!
Splurge vs Steal Home Decor 3 - Mercury Glass
Have a set of three of these in my house and paid almost $300. It has such gorgeous detail and has a unique vintage / antique flair. The wire at the top is also a nice touch and makes the piece special.
Would be perfect as a centerpiece or you can add it to your living room and make it a vase and add a few white hydrangeas
If you are a wine lover, pair this with a few of your favorites to make a visual statement in your kitchen
Splurge vs Steal Home Decor 4 - Lighting
This one hurts a lot... I paid over $200 for practically the same lamp and this one is $69 and I am just going to stay mum on how much ours was. Still, I love my lamp but I could have saved SO. MUCH. MONEY. Hundreds of dollars. Gulp.
